		<description><![CDATA[You&#039;re probably too jaded.  NSMB2 is actually the most fun I&#039;ve had with the franchise as I never really got into the original and the Wii version was too multiplayer centric.

But I think that&#039;s what most people don&#039;t &#039;get&#039; about the NSMB franchise is that each title has a slightly different appeal.  Many people though NSMB Wii would do poorly coming so close to NSMB DS and looking too &#039;similar&#039; but that went on to sell a gajillion copies.

The only thing we can say is NSMB2 is tracking behind NSMB on the DS, but given how these kind of games can still be selling and charting in six years, calling it a flop would be premature.

My take is this
NSMB - PROPER relaunch of SMB franchise
NSMB Wii - Based on NSMB but for casuals and family/party mario platformer
NMSB 2 - sequel to the first, target audience is still for easy pick and and play with a hardcore twist for the compulsive score attack/arcade players
